Tournament Rules
The entire tournament will be played with Basic games on the Default Island to 13 points. Games shall be played in the Tournament 2 lobby, these games will be automatically recorded and will not count for your personal ranking. Games are played without the 'no robbing at 2' option.
You may enter with one alias at most. If we have reasonable suspicion you are entering with 2 names, both may be disqualified. If you wish to enter with more then one name from one house hold, please ask for permission before signing up.
Each round, contestants will be placed in named groups of 3 (or 4 if needed) players. Each group will play 3 games with the specifications mentioned above. The winner of each game receives 5 points, second player receives 3 points, third place receives 1 point. After 3 games, the player with the most points is the winner of the group. In case each game is won by a different player resulting in a tie, the player with the most victory points over 3 games will be declared as winner. Only the winner will move on to the next round.
The entire preliminary round will take place on a single day: Saturday, April 2nd. Groups will be assigned using 3 time zones (Europe/Africa, Us/Pacific, Asia/Oceania). All 3 games will be played in a row at the fixed time for each zone:
- Europa/Africa: 10:00 - 13:00 CET
- US/Pacific: 10:00 - 13:00 EST
- Asia/Oceania: 15:00 - 18:00 AEST
If you wish to compete in this tournament you must be available at least one of the specified time frames!
Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals will be scheduled as a group within a larger time frame to accommodate groups with players from completely different time zones.
Scheduling will take place on our forums in the topic created for your group. Each player in the group will post their preferred and available hours in this topic. As a group you will schedule a date and time to play all 3 games in a row. During the round, please check your group topic at least once a day to complete the scheduling as quickly as possible. If you are unable to schedule within the given time frame, the tournament organization may disqualify the player that is most accountable for the delay.
The winner of the tournament will receive a golden Xplorers cup icon and eternal glory in our hall of fame.
